When will Delhi kerfuffle end?

Two weeks ago, all India was abuzz with the stupendous performance of Aam Aadami Party( AAP) in Delhi legislative assembly elections. None would have had expected such a performance by a bran-new party, with a bran-new philosophy, with a bran-new team, with bran-new scenes being created everyday.

The fatal freshness the chief of AAP and his honest team has brought to the Indian political spectrum is terrific. That he is here to change the system, or manacle the dis-honesty was evident on several fast-demonstrations with his Guru Mr Anna Hazare. And the Right to Information and Ombudsman Bill stand witness to his grit, determination and perseverance for an honest India.

After breaking-off from the mother concern, still headed by Mr Anna Hazare, AAP jumped into the Delhi elections fray to prove a point or two. But, as the results show, it not only decimated the ruling party, but left the other contender in the lurk too; and self in a greater mire and maze than the two parties told afore.

And the verdict, Delhites have given, was ineluctable; where there was a zero possibility for the BJP; the statements given by several leaders in their unableness to form the Government was evident to even the neophytes of politics in Indian sub-continent. The grapes are sour story stands revisited in this case, isn't it?
We have seen few instances of BJP's holiness and honesty in Jharkhand, Karnataka and Goa. But, they are known for their pro-religion stands, and the Bhagwat Gita's teachings are always in their hand and mind.

The catch-22 situation in which AAP is right now is evident, by their shenanigans on the streets of Delhi. Whether they are buying time, or are doing the homework for 2014 elections, or are reading the mindset of the people, or are devising a future-plan, or are trying to keep their flock together, or are on the way to proving the axiom in Indian political circle that there is no permanent friend or foe in politics is obviously not evident.

The Congress party anyhow has managed the Ombudsman Bill to see the light of the day. And by giving un-conditional support to AAP to form the next government in Delhi, they are not showing mercy on Delhites; they are saving their own face, and making few amends before going to the hustings in early 2014.

The body language of AAP leaders, except Mr Kejriwal and Mr Prashant Bhushan, has changed by degrees. For, they may be at a sniffing distance to power: which is known to be the femme fatale of gentleman-ship. And the hooliganism by the bran-new legislators, mis-behave charges against them, and the bran-new chief vehemently urging the bran-new legislators against the ill-design of the Delilah(read power) to corrupt them points to the old proven idiom or phrase that power corrupts.

My own suggestion and request to the AAP chief is:
a) leave the corruption free India rhetoric as you are about to move the rest of the spell in Delhi with the party which is cause of your party's birth(and painful separation from your mother concern).
b) become a milestone in Indian politics by not accepting Congress's support to form the government.
c) don't fear for a backlash in the event of a re-elections, for, if you have aroused some sense of honesty in common man, it will remain there and will not be erased so easily.
d) please convey your newly elected team to remain on the ground to camouflage your party like common man look.
e) Other areas and time is here, where there needs urgent redressal of the concerns  of the common man.
f) let there be elections again in Delhi, and if you are getting positive response from them via sms's and letters, you are bound to emerge the clear winner next time.

Mr Kejriwal, my best wishes are with you. Please stop the ongoing uncertainty over Delhi by biting the bullet, otherwise, a new kerfuffle will be on the offing which will see your dreams shattered. And don't take more time in the shenanigans, you are up to. Otherwise, you will be frittering the initial gains. Because, India is watching you with an intent and hope that you will bring honesty back in India. And other issues, such as the India-US diplomatic brawl, the rise of Virat Kohli etc. are queued to hog the limelight.

Fear takes its tall

In a desperate bid to regain the lost ground, the voters, the congress government has started taking the steps, it should have had long before moving into the twilight zone of its current tenure. The RaGa of the evening-- The Hansadhwani-- is being practiced none other than the PM in waiting from the ruling regime side--waiting to be declared, off course.

Supporting the Jan Lokapal Bill, rejuvenating the flagship program MNREGA, the edge giving Food Security Bill, Prevention of communal riots act etc. are only the aftershocks of the Delhi poll debacle; where few anti-corruption comrades have proved that nothing is impossible when the effort is put with honesty and sincerity.

The cause and effect meeting, convened in a haste, to cogitate over the drubbing in the four states, in the just concluded elections, seems to have produced one point lesson--resuscitate the government in comatose. And the brigade is at work without the purchase of time.

The leaders responsible to promulgate the NaMo's magnetic effect by degrees--for, the much tauted phenomenon has initiated the process of collecting the ferrous alloy from all over India, to make the biggest statue of the iron man of India; because, without ferrous materials magnets have their job cut to electromagnetism only--are here to make amends, to save the face as well as to facilitate a honorable exit in the coming general elections. And India ranks low in the sufficient electricity producing countries. However, in the process they have been electrocuted by yet another phenomenon--the Kejriwal effect. And now they have started the fire-fighting, to invalidate this new effect.

Before the elections, few leaders were on cloud nine, taking the victory at least in two states as granted. But, within a fortnight, they are licking their wounds.

Whether the renovated concern for the masses will save the face for the ruling regime or not, will be unveiled shortly. That, a stitch on time saves nine, seems to be the motto of the mandarins of the Congress now,and hence, they are performing the stitches.  For the time being, let's watch the latest pseudo-seriousness of the ruling regime with derision not pity.

A Clarion call

The phenomenal success of Aam Admi Party(AAP) in Delhi elections speaks volume about the eagerness of the masses to change the electoral system in India. And despite an extraordinary performance by the Bhartiya Janta Party, the mandarins of the BJP along with rank and file are not as jubilant as they should have been. And all due to AAP's performance in Delhi  in the just concluded elections. And has proved again that the world still respects, and values, the good qualities.

The inaptness of the INC governments in redressing the issues faced by the common man on time, that is incumbency factor, or better performance by the BJP governments in the states, it has retained for the third time may have worked in the BJP's favor, but, the euphoria and hype around NAMO effect has proved to be a passing fancy. The RAGA factor obviously was not its elements--and it can not be in future-- for the ruling regime, as was sung in high pitch--in third octave-- by some boots licker.

Although, AAP has contested only Delhi elections, but, it has given ample glimpses of the days to come in India. As it will take an all out effort to let its noble idea of a honest governance spread all across India. For, it will need several things apart from man, money and management; more importantly the participation of the common people in the movement.

The offspring of the recent arab spring against corruption, only nine months old, has decimated severals heavyweights in the Delhi elections and has left the leading parties licking their wounds and re-think their the core issues raised by AAP:  Corruption, Probity and Price-rise.

Let the front runners for 2014 general elections rejig their party manifesto, methodology, priorities or what ever; the Delhi elections has shown us the path of making India the 'Golden Bird' once again; and we on our part should strengthen the hands of Mr. Kejriwaal et al, by participating actively in his quest for a corruption free India, for, India has got a good option apart from the current two main parties.

This will be a befitting tribute to the right values mankind has worshiped from the time--unknown. And the world has never seen any revolution take shape per se.

The reality behind Social and Political organisations

From one point of view, social and political institutions are obviously human constructs, like buildings or machines. They have identifiable origins, they are consciously contrived, and operated to serve certain purposes and interests, and alterable by deliberate acts of will. Human evils are social evils, produced by a defective social system. Change the system and the abuses will be removed. A just notion of the nature and purposes of the institutions is all that we need to implement better practices, since society is simply an aggregate of the individuals who compose it, and individuals are both rational and free.

From another point of view, social life is not so consciously controllable. It is like nature, already there, already given. We have no choice about whether or not to enter society-- we are born into it, not contracted into it, and the laws and forces that govern our behaviour( economic, social, cultural, psychological, sexual) are never more than partially visible to us, if at all. Institutions are not the direct products of fiat, but sum of its individual parts, and its complex inter-relations are extended in space and time beyond the span of an individual life. Time and contingent circumstances may divert and transform human purposes in undreamed-of ways; as when, for instance, a movement to tighten up Church discipline  in sixteenth-century became a reformation and split the Christianity.

With these two points in mind, several melodramas being staged in India and around the world can easily be understood.

Be it the latest Iranian pact, or Afghanistan's denial, or the caution money row in UK for Indians, or the formation of Aam Admi Party, and AAP blatantly refuting the charges against them as baseless, the Kapil's bouncers on the sex scandal( they have separate touchstone for themselves and others) and unsuccessfully trying to turn the attention back to the PM in waiting Mr. Narendra Modi in the snoopgate case, and a lots more such themes happening here, there and everywhere--certainly not without a reason or interest, of course.

Aren't they clearer than crystal now with the help of the two points elaborated in the beginning?

Interest is, and it was, and it will be, at the center-stage of all the social developments or degradation processes for unforeseen time to come, and it will remain on the driver's seat for ever, ever and ever. And the degradation process of a very highly respected party in the history of India has started, some 5 years back and it will reach its pinnacle very shortly. After-all, it will pay the price for sycophancy, incessant blabbing, non-performance etc., that is, following the notorious Machiavellian theory of governance(if told succinctly). And, above all, the way they are reacting to every situations only makes it more clearer that their days are numbered.

In the meantime, let's celebrate and applaud for the leaders involved in inking(rather solving the Iranian obduracy) a futuristic deal with Iran and bringing it to the talk-table.

Thank you Mr PM for scaring the masses

Last week, a statement came from the Indian PM that terrorist outfits may wreck havoc during elections(please note the term election).

In my view this statement not only says one thing but several, after all, our respected PM is aware of the idiom, killing two birds... .Here are few of the birds which got killed and also alerted the other of the same feather:
1. The intelligence input alerted the Indian forces to be more vigilant.

2. The respected PM has threatened the opposition not to be indulged in too many mammoth meetings.

3. He also scared the masses of being too much excited about the NAMO effect.

4. He made mockery of the several systems responsible for safety and security of the masses; safety and        security of the masses being the prime state affairs, as if, theses system are always playing child's games.

5. He asserted and endorsed his party's Vice President's stand on divulging the intelligence inputs on public forums.

Despite being reminded of the several wrongdoings going unabated in his regime, our respected PM could not prevent them. But, towards the fag end of his political career, he miraculously have came through the nuances of the politics, that's why, such statements, from the highest office of India is coming so often.

It would have been better if he would have ended his political career as it is now; grave, sound, silent, good listener, media savvy and lots more. Not by these statements which seem unorthodox by his own standards.

It would be far better to mend ways on several fronts, before you close the leaves of your ten years saga, your government had remained aloof of, till date. The Economy, Rupee's slump, Inflation, checking communal flare-up, the infiltration menace in the north east and lots more.

Let's hope that the PM takes these words in good esteem.

Billingsgate in Indian politics

'Change is eternal', you may have heard this adage, but watching and reading all the mudslinging and the barbs and the new revelations; before the five states going to the hustings, change seems to have gained more jerky pace in context with the Indian politics.

I have heard Mr Vajpai several times,  Mr Advaniji, Late Mr Rajiv Gandhi, Mr. Devegoda and several other leaders before they were not Prime Ministerial candidates, but their language was never such abusive. I have seen the pin-drop-silence in Vajpaiji's rally in Patna on three occasions, every time the audience was more than the last time. But, I'm not seeing the same aura or respect in and around so many leaders in 2013, of course, the numbers are more by degrees.

Gone are the days of literate and humble politics and politicians. The need of the hour is of using abusive language or derogatory terms to show the prospective voters who are sitting on the fence that they are more viral when it comes to abusing, it seems. And the Indian Dons have used the MC, BC, BW like terms so often in Hindi films. And it seems that these devoted and learned politicians have gone through the Machiavellian theory and Billingsgate; after all, India, more or less draws its inspiration from its last rulers and their ways.

And knowing the background of many politicians, it is not amazing to hear such terms. Because, such terms are prevalent in slums and chawls. But, the same language was used in palaces, is above my head. It would not have been. There are nomads who are here to not only malign the Indian culture but the etiquette of a good leader also. After all, they are on a defining odyssey of Indian politics.

I have not heard any non-sense talking even from Mr Yechuri or Mr Navin Patnaiyak or Mr Sachin Pilot, why then they are using these terms. Win the hearts by your thoughts of taking India further in technical, agricultural, social, and other fields, not by the language you are using now. Otherwise, the days are not far when a PM will ask another PM in the same language or he will ask his party members or the people of the nation in the same taboo language.

BJP would have won in all the three states, if anyone was made the election in-charge, and may have finished neck to neck in Delhi--only by the deeds of the current goverment at the center. Watching all the hype and controversies around the PM-in-waiting, I again come to the same conviction that Shusmaji was and she still is, most suitable for the PM's job.

Please let Sachin relish the moment

The hallabaloo being made about the authenticity, timing and appropriateness about Tendulkar's  Bharat Ratna proves time and again that dirty politics has sneaked into every realm of life in India.  If Mr. Brian Lara can get the highest civilian award of the Caribbean, why not Mr. Sachin then? After all Caribbeans also have Indian bloods and culture, Doesn't they? And, above all, sports fraternity knows and respects the Indian Little Master' that's it.

When Australia conferred a civilian award to Mr. Sachin, then there were no voices of dissent in India, rather all were feeling very proud that an Indian sportsman--not an NRI--has got the recognition.

What was done and what was not done, and who has ruled and who has not, may be a food for thought for the politicians--not for the sporting fraternity of the world. No one will question Sachin's integrity, humanity and humbleness, apart from his contribution to the game. And my earnest question to them is: were you not in the power? Why have you not even initiated the process of respecting the Hockey legend from India?

And if you were in the power why you have not conferred this award to any person, you are now crying for. No doubt, Major Dhyanchand was one of the best hockey players India has produced so far. But, there is time, and I'll pray to God that you again form the government at the center and fulfill your honest wishes.

Sachin deserved the award. That's why he got it. And there were such demands from all quarters. Otherwise, the government is not deaf and dumb to listen to the wishes of the masses. After all, India boasts of a very powerful media that is here to highlight the current burning issues--and in the same zest they have unearthed a highly sensitive issue of sexual harassment at workplce. Let's hope, that this time, this issue will get the proper treatment and a good solution.

In the mean time, let the politician play their game and Sachin relish the life after retirement. Best wishes Sachin Sir ! Happy holidaying !

Frittering the initial gains

When Arvind Kejriwal had decided to float the party to tackle the corruption, little would have he thought of the quagmire and mudslinging that would greet him in his quest for a corruption free India.

Close at the heels of their first battle against the prime rivals vying for Delhi, when there is a stiff competition of showing the opponents inferior, the fresh charges against the Aam Aadami Parti(AAP) puts suspicion in the minds of general public(Aam Aadmi) that will these people change the system? or they will ultimately merge with the same herd of politicians, India is overflowing with? or, is it a tactic of the opposition to subdue the over-enthusiasts on an odyssey to change the indian political system?

The sting operation, paying visits to the clerics, and hollow promises made in the election manifesto only conspicuously  points towards the fact that the storm which was created by Anna Hazare all over India is only to be frittered away in this way.

Free water, free electricity, free food, free houses, free businesses, free living and free life, does not it feel like a chimerical project that they have undertaken. And from where they will bring the money needed to run the affairs of the state. From Switzerland I think.

Best of luck Mr. Kejriwal in your endeavours. May the almighty give you the courage to withstand these allegations, and wisdom for not making the hollow promises. Show to the world that the guild you are heading are knowledgeable enough to prove Mr. Subramaniyam Swami's claims wrong.

Comedy of Errors

William Shakespeare's puns in one of his most farcical comedy--The Comedy of Errors--gave a belly laugh to the audience way back in 1594 with a major part of humor coming from slapstick and mistaken identity.

And in 2013, his theme of the shortest comedy is being revisited time and again, by the man tipped to be the next PM of India, if NDA came to power in the next general elections.

Till now, the Primeminister-ship of any country is held in high esteem. And the man on the coveted post is supposed to be a man of depth, integrity, gravity, and well-educated.

No doubt, Mr Modi has most of the qualities required for a Prime Ministerial candidate, but his frequent slip of tongue in the election gatherings --on historical facts--is not only making mockery of his stature and personality but, is also giving butterflies in BJP's stomach lately. However, people say that he is on his way to making history.

It can be easily deduced from his sense of history that either he will change the way history is being taught, or will give the historians tough time in re-writing Indian history to suit his conscience.

It will be better if Mr Modi mends his ways with the historical facts, because, his minor mistakes and later retorting the facts only presages the time for BJP to come. If his party fails, he will go in oblivion or in history books as the man who couldn't make it to the PM's post of Pakistan or USA... err India, despite creating the sensation all over the country.

It will be better for him to take history lessons from Romila Thapar, or Ramchandra Guha or Bipin Chandra. Because, there is no age for learning and there will be no retake in the elections 2014.

Let's hope that this massage will be taken by Mr Modi  in stride, and from the next time he will speak no non-sense regarding history.

Congress on a wrong footing again

If anyone wishes to judge the effectiveness of a governmenment in any state, he must watch out for the roads there, especially the national highways; and he will get the first impression, thus helping oneself to be in a better position to judge judiciously: because the first impression ... .

Four months back, roads were in very good shape in Jharkhand; and they reflected in them the sense and sensibility of the government. But now, they are in a depalidated state, thus truly reflecting the current government there, and its approach to governance--the theme on which they have parted ways with the then ruling party there--the BJP, because they were fed up with always playing second fiddle to it. Respectable Mr Chief-Minister! the reins are in your hands now, why then are you still playing the secons fiddle to someone?: Show to the world that if you had had the guts then(of breaking the marriage of convenience with BJP), you have have the guts of performing even now(good governannce)--not only had the desire to be the CM.

Water, Road, Electricity, Health, and the Law and Order are few of the basic amenities which each government has to provide to any state or country. And if you wish to travel by NH33; hold your horses, as it may turn out to be a dreaded dream.

Some ten year ago or so, the same situation prevailed in the mother state to Jharkhand-- that is Bihar. And the government there was running under the aegis of the same Congress leadership: the roads there were in their worst shape after independance: where it stands today in Bihar is known to everyone, even to the congress thinktank also, as they are burning the mid-night oil to gain some lost ground, in connivance with the rulling party there.

If Congress wishes to open its account in Jharkhand, it should coerce the ruling party there, to make amends in their approach, when providing the basic amenities to the masses, otherwise, its dream of scoring a respectable tally in Jharkhand--in the coming elections--will turn out to be a mere chimera.Very little is being done to contain the outbreak of the vector borne epidemic, and on intelligence front too, it was in hot waters recently.

I hope and wish, that the good-sense prevails on the Congress mandarins--on time--before the situation goes out of their hands.Because time flies... and it waits for no one. And the history, till date recokns that a stopgap government has never deliverd good in any state in India. ... Madam, are you listening? or, my words are falling on a deaf ears. By the way, your party is not in India for transitory gains--your party's age has enough proof against this type of transitoriness.

It is Nationalism or Regionalism?

At a time when ISRO is writing history, with its Mars mission taking off successfully from Sri Harikota, and the spacecraft going on a 300 day odyssey, before it lands on the red planet; another dangerous mission is also underway--the appeasement mission--the mission for votes.

India yesterday welcomed UK's decision to scrap the controversial visa bond; but is unmoved by the latest West Bengal government's decision to stop transporting vegetable-produce to neighboring states.

Few months back,Hon. High Court has to whip the same state government to roll back its plan of privileged stipend to a certain community--but in government's eye, it was not communalism or appeasement.

When the global warming, rising petrol prices and environment is of serious concern all over the world, the WB government's decision to ban cycles in Kolkata, attracts criticism of severest degree. For the record, the European Union is encouraging the environment saving measures, and the use of cycles is again on rise there. WB government should take inspiration from them.

In UP, we saw the worst riots of the decade, and although the government there was reluctant of taking any action to stop the pogrom: the Hon. Supreme Court intervened on time to bring the perpetrators to book, and is still working on it.

Few months back, the Chhatisgarh government had also banned transport of rice to other states, the Hon. High Court is still to come to terms with the nationalist government there against this decision.

A week ago there were serial bomb blasts in Bihar and amazingly no preventive measures were taken to thwart the ill-design of the fanatic elements, otherwise a stitch on time... .

It's now time for dwarfing the opponents, when making hollow promises to the masses, and a little thought will be given to the opportunist parties: all parties are busy calculating and maneuvering the affairs which will fetch them Lok-Sabha seats, thus enabling them to be in a position of maximum bargain.

Time and again, these type of rash decisions or schemes are launched in various states of India for personal gains, and Hon. Courts has to intervene, to rescue the masses from the mayhem of these pseudo-nationalist, pseudo-secularist parties and their leaders(read fanatically jingoists).

Its time now,  for the Hon. Supreme Court to let its presence felt again,by curbing these anti-national decisions, thus rescuing the masses from the behemoth called 'Regionalism' and 'Inflation', because we have no hope in the incumbent government whatsoever.

Rome was not built in a day--not in a month either

The mishap at Vijayanagram, Andhra Pradesha is very saddening, as it throws light on the advancements made by Indian Railways in 150+ years.

In the second decade of twenty first century, when India is keeping pace with the world in technology progress; incidents such as these tell the sorry state of affairs in Railways and is asking time and again--whose progress?, and at this pace?--Huh !

The largest rail network in the world, which commutes maximum number of people in a single day, still lacks the safety excellence it badly needs.

In June we have seen the plight of disaster management in Uttrakhand, but the tryst with 'Phailin' became a face saver for the governments in India.

Mishaps such as Vijaynagaram are rampant in India; and Indian railways must dedicate extensively and expedite the process of safety norms implementation for its passengers with a renewed vigour and at a brisk pace.

The Public Announce Systems are an effective way of thwarting any ruckus in the running train, but horrifyingly, most of the trains in India are without it.

Instances of public-train confrontations are on a rise and the government must change its mindset form taking it as a part and parcel of everyday business.

Barricading the railway lines, although, a colossal work, must be given a serious thought, as it will minimize the animal-train confrontations by degrees. And noticing the money Indian government will spend on the Food Security Bill, it seems minuscule.

There are thousands of un-manned railway crossing in India, where mishaps such as this often happens. The flyovers may have solved this problem also. But,the one Rupee meant for development work transforms into 10 Paise before reaching the grass-root level.

When the finger of suspicion points towards none other than the railway minister, we can't expect a turnaround shortly. After all, Rome was not built in a day--not in a year either.

Who is responsible for the safety of the commuters and animals? If railways are, why not they expedite the implementation of safety standards nationwide?

If it is the Government of India, we can't expect the government prioritizing the 'safety' issues. As its ministers have ample time for maneuvers and statements; not for the issues such as these, for which they have been given responsibilities by the people of India.

And India will need another century or so to catch up with the technology advancements and their implementations for the welfare of its people.  As, most of the energies is wasted in containing the loot, graft, plum posting etc.--and the voter catching measures also, for, a year before, the bold initiatives such as safety and comfort by Mr Dinesh Trivedi was meekly shown the door along with him.

And Indian government runs on votes, a festival of which is not very far.

Another double ton in one-day international by an Indian

Rohit Sharma produced one of his finest innings till date; with a swashbuckling 209 studded with a world record 16 sixes in an inning. And India seems to remain at the top of the world-ranking in ODIs.

What a blitz ! he produced; Rohit enjoyed his inning--with a rehearsal for the Diwali festival-- and so the spectators. Thanks ! Rohit for demonstrating your class and your arrival in the test arena with a bang--thus vindicating the selectors decision to include you in the farewell test to Sachin. Go ! grab the position and fill the void that will be created after Sachin.

Pride comes before a fall

They were hand in glove not long ago, but now they don't see eye to eye. Both were jewels in the arm of NDA; and NDA boastfully acknowledged their astuteness on several platform for their good governance in their respective states: Bihar and Gujrat. Yes, I'm talking about Mr. Narendra Modi, the Gujrat Chief-Minister--the man who scripted a turn around of Gujrat on all fronts--and Mr. Nitish Kumar, the Bihar Chief Minister who also brought Bihar from its worst state of mis-management to a decent level of governance.

But their camaraderie took its worst shape after the former was anointed as the next PM-- in the event of NDA forming the next government at the center--anyhow. It was the end of road for the later, as he may have had dreams of making it to the coveted chair.

In his heyday in NDA, Nitish Kumar has let his presence felt a number of times and successfully averted Narendra Modi's from holding rallies in his state. But, after they parted ways, the water turned murkier day by day. Initially it was a dulcet toned criticism, then castigating, and now little short of abusing. Then it is rightly said that every thing is fair in Love, War... and politics.

But, the latest serial blasts in Gandhi Maidan, Patna, before and in between the rally has proved that all that glisters is not gold. There were claims of good governance in Bihar. But, is not the claim of good governance falsified by this event and the failure of the intelligence wing in averting this?

The intelligence agencies were licking their wounds after their failure in cracking down the mystery of Bodhi-temple serial blasts, and now this new episode--by the same group of nomads-- have aggravated their worries by degrees. There were IB's inputs about the threat, but the input fell on deaf ears it seems, which is highly deplorable.

Fresh reports of Nitish Kumar's defense--he looked as wet as a drowned rat after the blasts-- of his government has stared coming now. And he is  boisterously counter-attacking his adversaries now.

But my advice to him is--actions speak louder than words sir, so please take some corrective actions, before the domino effect of the recent incidents brings your road to a dead end in the coming elections. As, the people who were proud of you not long ago, have started suspecting you and your plans. Your reluctance in taking action against the perpetrators is more disturbing. They will support you in the coming elections, is a quixotic project and you will only rue the missed chances of taking the right moves at the right time very soon.

The courage of the leaders attending the rally amidst the blasts is exemplary and worth applaud; had they given in to the looming menace,or the mayhem, the sprawling ground may have plunged into chaos and many more may have lost their lives.

The political scenario in the country seems extremely bleak, as for political gains, the parties are reported to have abetted rioters. And now parties are keeping the national security at stake for petty political gains. Its high time they realise their responsibilities and take actions not only for the safety of the current lot but for the coming generations also. I hope Mr. Nitish along with the abettors, will hear from somewhere about their fall and start mending their ways without loss of time.

Stuff and nonsense !

As it turns out, as and when the scion blabs on any subject, the opposition wastes no time in making a bee-line of it.

This time he has stirred the Hornet's nest by letting the cat out of the bag. The intelligence report of the nexus between ISI and few persons involved in inciting the communal riots must have been shared on some other platform, not in public. But, he is here to spoil the ... and so, has provided food for thought for the opposition, or has set the cat among pigeons for the opposition. And the lunatic fringe is as usually in their elements. Is it a election campaign or a catastrophe in the offing for the ruling party?

The others in party-line furtively trying to adjudicate the top dog's statement is like a cock and bull story... . And the gutter press is not far behind in junketing on this opportunity--a blessing in disguise for them. The ruling regime is moving on a thin ice and statements such as this is only enhancing their agony of a complete white-wash in the coming elections.

Let's hope that the support, Mr Narendra Modi is garnering in public and media does not turns out to be a passing fancy.

When there are several issues of more importance to give one's ear and head to, this rat race only signifies the shallowness of the leaders of our age. And the ruling government has to find the missing link, to rule the roost again--not the shallow blabbers, who need the cover-fire to save the face.

It was a time to deliver a nasty blow to the culprits of the carnage--of the communal riots-- thus gaining some lost grounds--due to graft, kickbacks and loot of the public coffers--but, sorry to say, they are indulging themselves in these loose talks.

By the turn of the events, it seems crystal clear that this time also, the voters will seemingly have only a Hobson's choice; in selecting and expecting a good government. It is like-- out of the frying-pan into the fire--for them. Let's see, what is there in the future's wombs and the hope of the taming of the inflation-monstor does turn out to be a quixotic project.

Meanwhile, it has started raining cats and dogs in my city and the inhabitants living in the low lying areas are out of their skins, as yet another  floods, looms large on them. And I've other's fish to fry.

Celebrating the dirtiness with elan

He is the cleanest politician of his generation; People say that that is the beauty of his personality. Having had the dingy 'Files' cleaned; he has testified this impeccable perception of his image. Ask the investigating agencies ! if doubts have crept in in your mind; as they still are groping in the dark, to unearth the corruption 'Dossier'.

And 'Surf Excel' is said to be inspired and imbued by this patented cleanliness; therefore, they have embarked on the ' Daag Achhe hain' campaign.

So, propagating this dirtiness, I propose that there should be a 'Corruption Day'; like the other days celebrated in the year. And the top ten corrupt countries of the world should declare such a day; to let their people celebrate this renewed dirtiness with ardour. Declaring a week of corruption will inspire millions of right minded people--as the religious books condescend--to pursue this path of virtue--the 'Left' one with still better style.

The teachings of the religious books and the folklores, it seems, is only to fool the gentle folk. Why they should not pursue the path of corruption and financially secure the coming generation?--is a question. When all the corrupts are living a lucullan life; are celebrating every second of their existence; are indulged not only in mental corruption but physical also: why then simple, common man should live a hermetic life ? I'll love any comment on this point.

''Treasure Hunt'' drama to divert attention

Drama has the capability to attract a great audience. And if properly advertised, its magnetism increases manifold. 'Shakespeare' and 'Kalidasa' are well known dramatists in India; the former in English, and the later in Sanskrit . There are many more in these two language; and even much more in other language. But very few in the two languages said afore have scaled the popularisation mountain, scaled by these two. They both have numerous plays in their name; of course, in their respective languages. The caption, or heading or title of the plays played--and it plays even today-- a crucial role in attracting a large audience.

A grand drama written by a Sadhu--directed by Archaeological Survey of India(ASI), produced by the government of India and heavily advertised by Indian media-- is underway at Unnav, Uttar Pradesh; the said Sadhu had had dreams of a treasure--1000 tons of gold--in the premises of a temple . And the kind of overwhelming attention it had received in India is not as astonishing  as the capriciousness shown by the ASI and the government.

It is said that the King of Unnav--Late Raja Rao Ram Baksh Singh--took the taxes in form of gold, and to rescue the gold being taken away from India(by the British India Company) he hided the gold in the said temple premises. The plot is fabulous and has the capacity to attract the takers.

The media onslaught on the ruling regime's mis-deeds was enough to give the incumbent government sleepless nights, as insomnia was visible on the faces of several leaders, when the fate of the Food Security Bill was discussed in Parliament. But the uneasiness felt by the ruling party has been increased manifold by the various authentic survey reports lately, which projected an ominous--and a decisive one-- lead by the opposition.

In order to tackle this media attention, and the opposition's demand for PM's head in the 'Coalgate' scandal and other issues where the government is under fire by all rank and file--most importantly due to  'Inflation'; the government needed some time to erase the footprints of corruption, and so had designed this 'Treasure Hunt'. The government has plotted--rather connived-- with ASI to give the chimerical dreams of a Sadhu a go; thus diverting the general attention and purchasing some more time(the hunt is expected to last a month or so) to maneuver affairs and prepare few new ones to give them the 'Edge', before the semi-final clash in five states, mostly ruled by the opposition.

What cost  India and Co. will have to pay to the European Union and USA in violating the agreement of proper pricing of the food-grains will remain under the carpet; in getting the much touted  'Edge' over the opposition--in form of FDI-- India has flouted this agreement with EU and USA,  and they will exploit India up to the hilt for their hidden gains.

Whatever may be the outcome--and its aftermath--of the treasure hunt underway, one thing is certain that this government is desperate enough to regain the lost confidence of the masses and the seats in the Parliament. After all, the opposition, if managed the magic number(272) to form the government anyhow, will certainly try to expedite the investigations in all the reported cases of graft and loot, and bring the culprits to book sooner than later. And this is the main concern for the ruling regime. And in order to regain the lost ground they are willing to go to any extent.

Whether this 'Treasure Hunt' drama is making a mockery of Indians in the world is of no concern to the government. What they are concerned about is--divert the public attention anyhow. The literate class is aware of this, but the stories of miracles are replete in Indian mythology, and so are intently following the juicy story of the 'Hunt' to thwart the pain of parabolic rise in inflation.

The asteroid which exploded in Russia recently was abundant in precious metals and the myriad of such asteroids in the Solar system are replete with rare and precious earth metals and are dying fast to enter the earth's atmosphere to shower on this planet the precious metals it possesses; some for the scientists; some for the government agencies; some for the masses. Meanwhile, the man tipped to be the next PM of India has reportedly had dreams of taking the oath on the moon and Mars.

Frittering the technological gains

India was beaming with confidence, of its successful tryst with destiny a day after 'Phailin' passed off India's coast, unleashing lesser mayhem than expected, and its technology minister was seen boastfully taking credit and patting his own shoulders for MET department's accurate predictions two days after the cyclone Phailin's landfall in the coastal region. He should have waited and traced the monstrous wind's advancements in interior parts of India a little more and would have worked hard to minimize the peripheral effects of the Cyclone Phailin.

Aided by technology, we bravely withstood the inevitable face-off with the tormenting winds at the place of its landfall, but we lost our attention to follow its progress afterwards. Had we paid heed to the MET department's other warnings, we may have prepared ourselves for any exigency. But, ruefully Phailin gave its maximum blow in an acclaimed insurgent state, led by an another technocrat, who is more concerned with NAMO tornado than the above said cyclone.

The government in Bihar should take responsibility, in its failure in rescuing the lives lost due to heavy rains resulting from the cyclonic--and the much acclaimed government in Madhya Pradesh is also not far behind from its former ally in dereliction of its duty. Sadly, we collared the monster bravely, but it wrecked havoc with its tails and thus frittered away the India's initial technological advantage.

Media minimizes the effects of the nature's fury.

MET department’s timely and acurate warning, swift exigency preparedness, wide media coverage, efficient evacuation--in short, it was a well-timed mass awareness protocol through all modes of communication-- which resulted in  thwarting and minimizing the effects of a menacing catastrophe—the nature’s fury named 'Phailin'-- with a minimal impact on life but on property, after its landfall near Gopalpur and Srikakulam. Isn't it an effective use of technology advancements(TV, Internet& Mobiles) for the welfare of and by the mankind?--very few will doubt the accurateness of the Supercomputers and the Doppler radars.

Although it had left trails of destruction, the government agencies will face a daunting task in restoring the amenities and lives to normalcy.

Thank God ! it slowed down amazingly with mayhem lesser in degrees than anticipated, but, it will take time to heal the scars made due to this tempest aided by the severe torrential rains. And although many see it as a dreaded Dussera gift by the God of rains—the Indradev--I think it as a blessing in disguise to the people at the epicentre by Maa Durga, for having escaped unhurt of the Nature’s fury due to seasonable awareness. As Phailin bows to the Devi in reverence and slows down its ferocity, my mind starts venturing with utmost veneration to Maa Durga. Jai Mata Di !

Thank you Sachin !

Inspired and mesmerised by the melodious composition of Sachin Dev Berman in Bollywood films, Late Shree Ramesh Tendulkar  named his younger son as Sachin, but a very little he may have thought, that his son will transfix, entertain and inspire more fans than the maestro, and ultimately eclipse the inspiration of his name--thankfully in an another field. Amazingly, the second Sachin has not only matched, but  has  surpassed in composing more musical scores—and more entertaining vistas—although in another arena, on a number of fields, on a number of occasions, and with an another instrument—the willow. As the Bollywood is replete with the heart-touching scores of the former, so is cricket accentuated by the other. And both forced their fans dance to their tunes and erupt in exultation, overawed by the shear command of their respective instruments.

Your divine elegance, brilliance, class, nicety, humbleness, simplicity, exquisite shots, squeaky voice, divine smile, celestial eyes and the radiance which you exuded will come to an end --a much awaited one—when you will appear for the last time at Wankhede—your own orchard--and let the curtains down, on an awfully long and consistent career,  studded with tremendous  records and a terrific respect worldview.

The prodigy—the little master-- will remain live in the remembrances of the fans and the cricket-archives for ever, ever, and ever, with his inimitable style, vivid display of his genius a number of times, his gamut of exquisite shots, indomitable commitment and his unparalleled passion for the game and his country and his celestial 'century of centuries'.

The phenomenon called Sachin Tendulkar and Ratan Tata happened to India at a time synced with India's partaking in the vibrant zone carved out by the ASEAN power houses with aplomb at the outset of 1990's in the name of economic liberalisation.

As the history reckons, Sachin made centuries against every cricket playing country, both in India and abroad--a unique feet which testifies his class and genius. Be it India, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, the Down-under, the Caribbean  or the Imperial England, he enthralled the viewers all-over and carved out vistas even out of the Arabian safari. There was no contemporary bowler who posed a threat to him, rather he is credited with making the cricketing lives short of many bowlers.

The moment his conversation with Rajeev Shukla(the BCCI official), on his wishes to retire from the last genre of cricket left to bid adieu--and the oldest form-- having already bade adieu to other formats--leaked on news channels, the sporting fraternity went frenzy along with the news channels world over. And it got a wider coverage in the world televisions--more widely than any tsunami or catastrophe to have wrecked havoc on earth recently.

Sachin, with you, millions of  your fans—and of-course of your generation-- may say good bye to the live cricket, as the charisma changes hands and lands swiftly on the shoulders of Dhonis, Kohlis and other players of the world.

At the time when the television’s popularisation and the technology revolution at the advent of Internet was still nascent,  you came, mesmerised, entertained and attenuated the pains of losing the prodigy—the other prolific little master— just a couple of years afore-- like a messiah. Away from being the stereotypes, or with the monotonicity of specialization in cricket, you brought with yourself, the amalgamation of Richards, Gavaskar and Boycott. The cricket took a defining shape after you burst on the screens of world cricket, and many of us still cherish the juvenile tearing the likes of Abdul Kadir , Imran Khan and Waquar Yunis episode way back in 1989. It was an ominous declaration to the world cricket that a new avatar has arrived.

The ferocity with which you tore apart the quickies of your age, the coolness with which you handled the medium pacers and the master craftsmanship with which you handled and played the spinners—with all types of shots in the cricket books along with few ingenious ones(the scoop and paddles)--at his ease, is exemplary.

You not only withstood the several pressure cooker like situations, but also saw your team dancing to the tunes of samba or bhangra or whatever, on a number of occasions, after snatching a win from the jaws of defeat. Your dancing down the pitch in pelting and belting Shane Warne several times over the ropes, and the prolific leggie having dreaded dreams of his assault in the Arabian safari afterwards, is now history.

Very few batsmen in the world cricket have commanded the respect that you enjoyed, as in you every cricket playing country saw the glimpses of their past or present heroes.  And still very few were able to scale the tedious heights፣ to reside in the citadel of excellence; you now proudly ensconce, and will reside there for ever.

With the colossal burden of ‘Great expectations’--every time you stepped into the field--of your fans, for nearly a quarter of a century--with a plethora of records to his name-- will remain unparalleled for years to come. And history will remain witness to his greatness, commitment, Integrity and allegiance to your nation for years and years to come.

In November, not only Tendulkar, but a generation will retire from the world cricket. It was your commitment, integrity, simplicity and an 'Steelium' image which not only created havoc in the opposition camp, but exuded confidence in your own camp and your followers as well. World will witness more players trying to mould themselves in your shoes in the coming years, but very few people will enjoy the warmth, and reverence you have earned over the years. Be it Michael Schumacher  or Federar or McEnroe or Maradona or other greats of other sports, but the coming generation will hardly believe that such a sportsman, with such a huge respect in sporting fraternity has walked on earth.

Now, as the pundits will draw parallels between your cosiness with your son Arjun(Sachinda enjoyed the same cosiness with his son Rahul Dev Burman), I simply wish and say--Thank you Sachin!, for letting us believe in our dreams of winning, with your prolonged entertainment to all of us, and inspiring the newer generations for taking on this game in stride and excel. May God bestow you the best of health, to cherish the moments you have created and earned and for few more such requisite moments which have eluded you and your family for four and twenty years or so. But Sachin, you missed them to make your dreams come true and your stoic engagements in the game took away from you the other facets of life. And being an inspiration for several generations to come, is the reward for all your honest efforts--more important than the plethora of saga and records you have nicely composed with the blade--'the bat'-- and have carved a permanent niche in the citadel of cricket.

Janus-faced government and its schemes stand disrobed

Jharkhand is one of the few states where the government is functioning under the aegis of the party whose government is at the center. Three-four months before, it was a BJP led alliance functioning in the state and under the 'Antyodya project' they were distributing food-grains at a very miniscule rate--nearly free to the poor. But, I came to know about the double-dealings of the government at the center lately.

After the coup in the state, the above said project has been put on hold, not by the government, but by the owners of the distribution stores in East Singhbhum district. Now the poor are being given the money instead of the food-grains--with a derisive laugh both on the effectiveness of the opportunistic feigning government and the pathetic plight of the poor--with a receiving sign on the register, willingly or unwillingly.

The distribution center owners are acquainted of the chink--the loophole--the lacunae-- in the system very well, as there is no way the authenticity of the fake signatures will be checked, neither the effectiveness of the program. And when the the current regime is busy with the maneuvers, to remain in power, they have a very little time left, to superintend these matters or projects. Whatever be the outcome of the next general election, one thing is clearer than crystal that loot, graft and corruption has now infused deep down into the bloods and serum in most of the people in the service sector, and are there to remain ad-infinitum, until an effectual vaccination of this disease is worked out.

This is the fate of the one of the highly acclaimed--touted as the game changer in the coming elections--government's project. How much edge these pet-projects(read Food Security Bill) are going to provide to the incumbent government is not beyond comprehension. But, it is ironic that despite so many mayhem in nearly every facet of the governance, the government has managed to stay in power. The opposition must take the blame of every misdeed of the current government, having had failed in arousing the urgency to the masses of an ineluctable change, or, apprising them about the exploits and ineptitude of the current government in each and every field.

The effective and optimum use of the mass-media--the INTERNET--will no doubt provide them the opportunity to awaken the literate class, but the actual game changers--the poor and illiterates--will remain hypnotised, mesmerised and transfixed by the chimerical projects and the obscure schemes of the current government.

And for doing this, the BJP is on the right path of awakening the common-man through the state-wise programs by its Prime-minister in waiting. But--and really a big BUT-- until BJP's honest concerted efforts drills-down to the grass-root level, their wish of toppling the ineffective government--and rescuing India from the manacles of 'Corruption'--will remain a distant--far distant--a terrestrial and celestial sort of Dream. And dreaming-- rather day-dreaming--remains uncensored in this cosmos till date.

Judiciary manacles chicanery

Although India woefully ranks amongst the top ten of the most corrupt countries in the world, the verdicts like this--the latest conviction of the panjandrum--will certainly retard the Indian ascent to the pinnacle of the most corrupt countries list--unless the persons preparing the list fell prey to the Satan, for 'He finds some mischief still, for idle hands to do'.

The unwillingness in ordering  an investigation by a competent authority, the pretence of being a messiah, the annihilation of the social harmony, the hyperbolic rise in his fortune, earnestly endevouring to change the course of natural justice for more than a decade, making mockery of the theory of a republic and democracy in a state where republic and democracy find their aborigines, the unsuccessfully venturing in cricketing grounds, the servility to the ruling regime by maximum possible degrees, hiring the most celebrated lawyer, the continued vehemence on some specific caste, pretended simple but convivial lifestyle, the last moment effort to hinder and prolong the natural course of justice to emerge unscathed, finally gave in meekly to the impeccable long hands of the 'Law', but not before proving the adage--'Justice delayed is justice denied'.

The verdict pronounces to the world, that those accountable and responsible should either execute their responsibilities without laxity, or, lay their fate under the hammer, if detected and brought to the cognizance of the Law before their journey to the Heavenly abode.

The apex court's refusal in accepting clemency and transferring the case, is exemplary and laudable to the highest degree. More important is the impact, this verdicts will render, to the masses and their decaying confidence in the Indian judicial system. And it will be a lesson augmented with a caveat to those who sue politics not for social service, but for a change of fortune, by exploiting the system and its chinks to the maximum, thus making mockery of democratic system.

Statement of the decade

When the notorious bill was tabled in the Lower House, Left parties and Akali Dal members were seen vociferously opposing it; no other dissension was ostensibly heard and the bill got cleared in the lower house by a thumping majority. But--and a big but--the said bill got collared in the Upper House, where few best advocates cum politicians of the current generation, I dare say, adorn the dais of the house. And as the said bill was discussed--rather testified and assessed--in the lower house, these aforesaid select few politicians not only questioned the authenticity of the Ordinance, the integrity and probity of the beleaguered Government but heralded the days to come and the lark, and loss of face, government will be in, when rejected or returned by the president for a reconsideration.

As was presaged ; so happened. The President, who apart from being a congressmen happens to be a 'Martinet' first--as he was a professor of economics in a West Bengal university-- and a congress-loyalist later, justifiedly questioned the reddened minister's trio for the haste and urgency of the government for the ordinance. And the feeling that coming generations will not forgive or forget such an astute martinet in failing to curb Indian politics from corruption and criminals, the octogenarian President lived up-to the expectations and his tirade on the minister's triumvirate with the volley of questionnaire conducted Congress to a more precarious and more dingy place.

Now, the congress was really left in a lurch, and it needed a person to perform the 'Hara-Kiri' of the ordinance and oneself--like Holika-dahan in Hindu Mythology. And here came the Charismatic 'Yuvraj". With a serious and a celestial countenance he gave the statement of the decade--The Ordinance in question is a trash  and must be thrown to the dustbin(the dustbins in and around Delhi were seen rattling to honour the wishes of the 'Yuvraj' , feeling elated in stature after being mentioned by none other than the 'Yuvraj').

The statement which not only gave sufficient nourishment to the attenuated NDA but to the media also.In a decade or so, I cant recall any rash or absurd statement from this 'heir-apparent', even on the gravest issues. He was happy cooling his heels for his expedition to the throne of thorns--the prime-minister ship of India. And he was never seen consecrating his sagacity in the media on any issue serious or light.

Although he may not be having the best of academic degrees, but he has inherited some responsibility, accountability and his this factitious belligerency-- of opening the Pandora's box -- must be analyzed in this context also. Now, when the whole India is abuzz with the news of his clemency, temerity, audacity, and treachery, very few will deny the fact that in order to save his taunted, exhausted and extenuated government's face from severe reprimand and derision by the multitude, opposition, and media, he has done this harangue bravely, heroically and assiduously. Rather has left the issue to die its natural death(the time-treatment) amid the cacophony of the opposition

Better late than never

Ostentatious clemency shown to Indians in keeping up with the mood of the judiciary and the nation although seem a little bit baffling, but then, it is rightly said that--'Better late than never'. The brouhaha over the remarks made by the imminent politician-- going against the wishes of his own party-- in giving a scape route to the tainted leaders--and many leaders of his party falling in line with the scion-- once again proves that Indian Politics is more concerned around the opportunism and sycophancy than common welfare and conscience.

But, more baffling is the demeanour of the opposition--ostensibly subdued and attenuated. It clearly indicates opposition's restlessness after being deprived of a stronger point against the ruling regime before going to the polls. It seems that the ruling regime is playing foul to the opposition. At one hand they are providing food to the poor and on the other they are depriving the opposition from psychological sustenance. This is not fair. You must provide a level playing ground to all players--at least to gleam and dream of a grand comeback to continue their fake encounters with every aspects of governance, but common concern. But again it will be against the famous cliche--the theology of politics-- that 'All is fair in love, war, and politics.

You have done nothing wrong Mr. Scion by declaring the notorious ordinance rubbish. Move ahead! and show the nation that you are here to prove your mettle and a leader par excellence in bringing about the turnaround and a fresh look to the Indian politics--not merely a heir apparent. As, you have to move miles ahead with the hands of common man with you, and leave the opposition ruing and blabbing over the loss of their strongest point; of feigned integrity. They have myriad of issues at their discretion like inflation, loot, graft and scams. After all, it is the end-result which will count and judge your righteousness in going against the mood of your party. Because, 'All is well that ends well'. And we wish to see your canoe, carrying the cornucopia of bills, to sail ahead without a hitch or glitch.

The shallowness in Indian democracy

I had heard a story that whenever a child is crying for some hurt or is recalcitrant, and you want him to forget it, give him a tight crinkle in his/her ears and he will forget the original cause of his concern and will begin crying with more ferocity on the latest infliction. Indian political scenario is somewhat similar to the aforesaid scene where the politicians are crinkling or trying to crinkle the memory of the general public to let them forget the bigger concern India faces today, by issueing nonsensical statements, and the squabbling thereafter. This act may be treated as a carefully crafted plan to deflect the attention from the main concern and mood of the nation.

While the latest militant attack in highly volatile Jammu & Kashmir needs protest of the government, its policies and its inaptness-- in handling the issue-- to the highest degree, the politicians are busy squabbling on petty issues to prove holier-than-thou on the ordinance, RTI and other issues of miniscule values. When the morale of the forces is down and are sullen by the double-speak and double-standard of Pakistan, politicians are busy bullying each other on issues of far inferior importance than the attack.

Inflation, loot, graft, cleansing of the electoral system and plethora of more such issues are no doubt all important, but when the national security is concerned, it should take center-stage among all the issues. Politicians, cutting across party lines should come together in denouncing the Pakistan's inability in curbing the militancy and this being propagated from its soil, and suggest newer techniques of handling the neighbours.

There is still time left for the festivities these politicians are eager to celebrate, but on the stage of the democracy we are, and will, aptly see and analyse your manoeuvrings. Don't make fool of us, we can see your sham seriousness, opportunism and your thirstiness for the power. Show more generosity on India's security concern.

As, the whole world more or less is now aware of the products with 'Made in India' tag and their durability and authenticity, Indian politicians--barring few--are busy testifying to the world that they are not different from these products, as the National security--their core business, of which they are expected to give service with utmost attention--has the least importance to them--far far less from the fear of the coming under the lap of RTI, or cleansing of the electoral system.

The News entertainment Ltd.

The lampooning media, sees all and sundry events suspiciously, and sometimes extremely quixotically in perceiving any idea or event, and if once perceived, takes pain in letting the viewers believe, or be in harmony with the media's  frame of reference or point of view. And mind it! Indian media has the capability of making or creating an epic out of a tuft. The latest being the luxuriant repertoire on the differences between the BJP's PM-probable and the party's patriarch.

A nuclear family can have some differences within only two heads, but a national party can't have, because, although being 'the party with a difference', has has an another perspective--for the literature or the shibboleth purpose. Media's catechism and approach is more scurrilous than mere repertoire. There are more serious matters to be reported, which media has done successfully--with an exquisite flair-- in bringing to the notice of the viewers and the hoi-polloi both the news of miniscule significance as well as the bigger burning issues--which is a laudable effort. But, some people or groups are indulged in the digging-deep activities for, TRP's sake only. And inadvertently or willingly sensationalizing the minor issues, to attract and amuse the viewers.

But, if they are serving the viewers, let them do it--with a difference. Because, this not only is generating jobs and revenue but entertaining the viewers with a difference--in all snafu.

Amen !

Then, it is amply clear that as in the rainy season Hindus shun from eating the onions, the hoarders run into heavy losses and in Navratra the demand  again is supposed to be very low. So, they are making amends to their heavily unbalanced balance sheets. But, as after Diwali there are few festivals left, and the new crops start pouring in-rather raining ’cats and dogs’-- into the desi  markets, the the prices will become ultra-low .Thus, saving the government’s face. The Mansoon was reportedly exceptionally very good this year throughout India, barring the poor Bihar. Until then, let the onions enjoy their enhanced values and prices and go on devouring on them after Diwali, to extract all the nutrients it sustains.

The extraordinary blessings from ‘Indradev’(the God of rains) has induced the economist to declare enthusistically that  a boom in Indian economy will occur within next 2-3 months. And it is ominous to think positively that time will change and the metamorphic prices--in perfect harmony with the inflation-- will descend the hillock—the hillock which is the cynosure of all eyes at present. Till then, it is better to be ensconced in the chairs—and of-course at home along with our respective home ministers—otherwise it will be detrimental and a felony in the making. It will also increase the strength of the respective family bonds—our engagements cast their eyes slyly and enviously on this bond and urge our better halves to rue and blab on us incessantly .  And let the perpetrators of the animosity and corruption do the somersaults in their own quagmire and be mystic or sly or evil (and plethora of its synonyms) by degrees. Oh! amnesia has started wreaking havoc on my memory and is letting me forget the metaphor for the good times to come. All I can aver is-- Amen !

Vanity and self-esteem drives the 'Social media'

In his Noble Prize Acceptance speech, Bertrand Russell had touched on a stark reality. I urge you to go through the excerpts from that speech and indomitable philosophy……..

Vanity is a motive of immense potency.  Anyone who has much to do with children knows how they are constantly performing some antic, and saying,’ Look at me’.  ‘Look at me’ is one of the fundamental desires of human heart. It can take innumerable forms, from buffoonery to pursuit of posthumous fame. There was a Renaissance Italian princeling who was asked by the prieston his death-bed if he had anything to repent of. ‘yes’ he said, ‘there is one thing.  On one occasion I had a visit from the Emperor and the Pope simultaneously. I took them to top of my tower to see the view, and I neglected the opportunity to throw them both down, which would have given me immortal fame.’ History does not relate whether the priest gave him absolution.

By self-interest man has become gregarious, but in instinct he has remained to a great extent solitary; hence the need of religion and morality to reinforce self-interest. But the habit of foregoing present satisfaction for the sake of future advantages is irksome, and the passions are roused the prudent restraints of social behaviour become difficult to endure.( from A history of western philosophy).

A large proportion of human race, it is true, is obliged to work so hard in obtaining necessaries that little energy is left over for other purposes; but those whose livelihood is assured do not, on that account, cease to be active. Happiness is promoted by associations of persons with similar tastes and similar opinions.
Social intercourse may be expected to develop more and more along these lines, and it may be hoped that by these means the ‘ Loneliness’ that now afflict so many unconventional people will be gradually diminished almost to vanishing point.( from The Conquest of Happiness).

In order to be happy we require all kinds of self-esteem. We are human beings; therefore humans are the purpose of creation. We are Indians; therefore India is God’s own country. We are male; therefore women are unreasonable; or female; and therefore men are brutes. We are Easterners; and therefore the West is wild and woolly; or Westerners, and therefore the East is effete. We work with our brains; and therefore it is the educated class that are important; or we work with our hands; therefore manual labour alone gives dignity. Finally, and above all, we each have one merit which is entirely unique: we are our-self. With these comforting reflections we go out to do battle with the world; without them our courage might fail.( from ‘Unpopular Essays’).

The gist of quoting the legendary writer and philosopher and professor, from his various writings, can be summed up from his definition of ‘Good life’ in a single phrase: ‘the good life is one inspired by love and guided by knowledge'. But, Alas! Most of us stand deprived by the one or the other, and very few boast and condescend by their combo effect. The social media is also being used to pursue some interests lately; marketing, campaigning, spreading malignancy and hatred to name a few, but then, it is a ramification of the concept of 'Exploitation of the resources' to the fullest.

Media should shun the extreme obnoxiousness

Betimes in the morning, all the news channels—with few exceptions—broadcast the preaching’s of some ‘Baba’ or God-man and in the afternoon they telecast the sensational revelations about them. What a contrast? Ethos of broadcasting transform into pathos of business first and in bathos later. In the morning it is business, but, in the evening it is their earnest and honest responsibility towards the nation, its people and its constitution. What a exquisite goof up of the business! Please stop airing their teachings first, and then tear them apart. That will be a genuine way. This double standards attracts derision of the highest degree, and the airing of these types of programs (rather pogrom of the sentiments) should be and must be stopped first.
These channels manage some sullen ex-employees of the God-man. Each with a lot of secrets to spill out.  And amazingly, they all are not kids, not even adolescents but in their 40’s or 60’s. And all have parted from the God-man for reasons only known to them. But, were cowardice and fearful to the extent that they were in oblivion and hiding for more than a decade. But all of a sudden they have got all the might and guts and boldness and fearlessness to tell the truth to all Indians-- and are seen daily stereotypically quarreling with proponents of the God-man or religion. In my view they were the abettors of the crime, India is agog with now-a-days. And are liable to receive the harshest punishment Indian judiciary have. For, they may have checked the propagation of the rampage or molestation of the God-man had done on many innocent devotees, by their timely revelations. But, they did not. There were many means of the disclosures available, but they partook none. And I’m dead sure that  they didn’t parted ways with the God-man for good’s sake, but after failing to materialise the suitable price of keeping the secrets and misdemeanours of the God-man, they parted ways  and have come back only to take revenge on the fallen self-acclaimed incarnation of the Lord Krishna.
Whatever be the outcome, the truth must prevail and should be welcomed by one and all. But, these channels also attract some punishment for playing double standards, both with the business ethics and the sentiments of people. So, some legal actions must be taken against them and the sullen beasts. I hope that this view of mine is taken by someone in good esteem, or, the court takes cognisance and files a case against these news channels itself--for abetting the crime by airing the convicts or under-trials and their pretenses.
