Enigmatic mess

What you will call a female, who keeps on giving birth, but cares a little about her kids ? The same can be told about the current regime. From last 10 years, we have seen a flurry of policies(And many more are in the offing) being whelped with a little concern of their maintenance and effectiveness.

The Basic Education System, Public Hospitals, Public Distribution System, Mid-day Meal to name a few, run under the aegis of the central/state governments are singing their own dirge. But, the government does not leaves any occasion of bawling itself as the pro-poor. I say yes, you are pro-poor, because you are increasing the poverty. And your inaptness in containing poverty is a testimony to my claim. For the last ten years you have failed badly on several front, but  managed to survive anyhow(CBI). You unrolled the MNREGA in the last year of your first tenure only to facilitate your return, and day-dreaming again with this Food Security Bill. For the last 10 years you didn’t care about the hunger of the poor, but these ideas often comes in your mind in the twilight of your running tenure. And the partion politics is the latest toy you have added to your bandwagon.Plaudits! then, to the Adonis bachelor, the Amazon mentor and the Argus-eyed titan of economics for surviving and reviving the chimera of yet another return.

How the CBI and the Judiciary is bent and used for government’s cause(read  survival) was on show recently. The one leader getting the Judge changed for being apprehensive of the judge of a particular caste, and the other given lax in the charges of wealth-appropriation.

The sloppiness shown in curbing the corruption behemoth, apart from redressing the common issues faced by the common-man may act as the decisive factor in hindering the current regime’s return to the 10-Janpath. And the ‘Blabbers’ are only playing a party-poopers by their reckless remarks. It is said that the road to Delhi goes through Bihar and UP and ‘tunch maal’ is treated as scurrility in these states, why then you are using these words in public? It is not a ‘Jargon’ as told by you in your defence, have you the same courage to tell this jargon near 10-Janpath  loudly?

And the latest survey by The Hindu and CNN-IBN has cast ‘Elysium’ to the opposition and ‘Stygian’ to the incumbent.

The Cerberus and Argus-eyed mandarins of the ruling regime will burn more midnight oil now to counterbalance the initial gains the opposition has had, forecasted to have gained in view of the incumbency factor and non-performance of the current ‘Raj’ on several fronts.

It will be a Herculean task for the winner of the coming poll ‘To clean the Augean stables’ of the hydra-headed ‘corruption’. The stentorian blabbing of the patriarch with a renewed vigour, in view of the latest survey report may turn out to be saturnine,- for, the Indian electorates had had  that protean mood which can swing in anyone’s favour by merely seeing the lollypop projects and policies, - if the current exuberance is not manoeuvred properly, and  the ‘Bacchanalian celebrations’ put on hold, till the goal is achieved.

Indians are set to be between Scylla and Charybdis,if the focus of the next government is again centered around survival and the public issue and effective governance takes backstage. And for this, India needs a clear mandate, not like the last one, when leg-pulling by the alliance partners, disparaged an economist cum myrmidon held in high esteem world over and stopped in his endeavor in unleashing a cornucopia of mouth-watering policies.
